Could a nobel profession be profit oriented????

The heart tip of the health care sector is the medical practitioners and their practices which makes the pharma industry in the second ring of the center orbit. Excellence of life and its prolonged existence depends on quality products and practitioners prescribing the drugs for health and its administration.

The pharmaceutical industry plays a imperative role in the social order by formulating the quality medicines. The role play by pharmaceutical industry in present scenario is very important and crucial which is a challenging to accept in building a strong human capital in the country, this in turn will be economic growth and development.

The increased availability of medicines and its contents has declined the death rate, increasing awareness amongst the users. The pharma industry in India is going though a transitional phase. The companies has now grown at large and cross road mainly because of IPR and drug major eyeing India world wide pharmaceutical companies are re-structuring themselves. Indian Govt. has provided for exclusive marketing rights (EMR) as a prelude to provide to product patents. Some of the Govt. has proposed not to reimburse certain costlier molecules, which ought to be not and Govt. should come forward to extend helping hand to poor commodity for re-imbursement of such costlier molecule.

Who are in direct contact with users is a complete chain of key workers in pharmaceutical industry and drug consumption. Since the drug companies are supplying drugs hence they are solely responsible for manufacturing, packaging and labeling etc. if these companies start malpractices the entire system would be adversely affected viz, bioequivalence, efficacy and potentiality of drug will be changed and using such drugs will not be effective to consumer.

Thus to avoid these malpractices policy matters entrusted upon would play a pivot role the drug inspectors must have regular checking for bioequivalence, efficacy and potentiality but since this linkage is not doing its job properly because companies give them some temptation which adversely effect the complete chain system.

The noble profession of Doctors has also become a business now a days he prescribes only those medicines which are commission based .
